Alexandre Pato is a retired Brazilian professional football player. He was born on September 2, 1989, in Pato Branco, Brazil. He started his career with Brazilian club Internacional and later played for big European clubs like AC Milan, Chelsea, and Villarreal.
Pato was regarded as one of the brightest talents in Brazil when he made his debut for Internacional at the age of 16. He won the Copa Libertadores and FIFA Club World Cup with Internacional in 2006 and 2010 respectively before moving to AC Milan in 2007.
During his time at AC Milan, Pato was a crucial player for the Italian club and helped them win the Serie A title in 2011. He later moved to Chelsea on loan in 2016 but struggled to make an impact in the Premier League.
Pato represented Brazil at various levels and made his debut for the senior team in 2008. He scored 10 goals in 27 appearances for the Selecao but missed out on the 2010 and 2014 World Cups due to injuries.
Pato retired from professional football in 2021 at the age of 31.
